Yamato Holdings Corporation (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yutaka Nagao) has made an additional investment in Yours Technologies (Head Office: Beijing, People’s Republic of China; CEO: Peisen Lin; hereinafter “Yours”) through the “KURONEKO Innovation Fund”.

Yours is a Chinese startup that develops automated robots based on computer vision that can operate indoors and outdoors. The algorithm developed by the company is capable of extracting 3D contours of surrounding objects in any illuminated environment, enabling the creation of highly accurate maps and reducing the cost of manufacturing self-driving robots. The company is already working with various companies in 111 cities in China to provide services such as package delivery, mobile sales, and mobile signage advertising by Yours self-driving robots in shopping malls and other locations.

The KURONEKO Innovation Fund made its first investment in Yours in December 2020, and through technical exchanges with the company, has been studying unmanned delivery using self-driving robots in Japan. The Fund has now made an additional investment in Yours in recognition of its advanced technological capabilities and highly flexible business model, including the ability to expand and develop services in response to market conditions.

In the future, the two companies aim to create synergies through collaboration, such as by utilizing the management resources of the Yamato Group to conduct demonstrations of the self-driving robot developed by Yours.
