Invested in Sagri Corporation, which uses satellite data and AI technology to solve problems in agriculture.

Yamato Holdings Corporation (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yutaka Nagao), has invested in Sagri Corporation (Head Office: Tamba, Hyogo; CEO: Shunsuke Tsuboi), a company dedicated to solving global agricultural and climate change issues through satellite data and AI technology, through the “KURONEKO Innovation Fund Ⅱ” (hereinafter “KIF Ⅱ”). This is the first investment by KIF Ⅱ.

Sagri provides farmland management solutions that utilize satellite data and AI technology, such as farmland delineation, abandoned land surveys, cropping surveys, and matching farmland owners with makers and bearers. We also provide farming solutions such as soil analysis for farmers around the world. In the future, the company expects to expand its business in Southeast Asia, where there are many small-scale farmers, and to launch a carbon credit business by reducing fertilizers through soil analysis.

KIF Ⅱ has made its first investment in Sagri, based on the company’s continued steady growth thanks to its advanced technological capabilities and its success in supporting primary industry, which is also closely related to the Yamato Group, By incorporating Sagri, our first investment in KIF Ⅱ, into our portfolio, we will accelerate the realization of our sustainability transformation.
