Yamato Holdings Corporation (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yutaka Nagao) has invested in Styleport Corporation (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Akihiko Madokoro; hereinafter “Styleport”) through the “KURONEKO Innovation Fund” to provide a system that enables previews of real estate properties in a virtual space using VR technology and a spatial communication platform “ROOV” that consolidates necessary documents and contents for home purchase consideration on the cloud.

Styleport is a startup that aims to create new value in the real estate industry through “real estate x tech”. The company’s management team has a wealth of experience in the real estate industry, and the company develops and provides services based on 3D computer graphics technology. Styleport’s spatial communication platform “ROOV” is a service tool that combines a VR preview system for prospective buyers (ROOV walk) and a sales support system for real estate companies (ROOV compass). Approximately 100 major real estate developers have adopted ROOV.

The KURONEKO Innovation Fund decided to invest in Styleport’s VR technology because it is expected to improve the customer experience by enabling prospective buyers to not only visualize the space of a property without having to visit the site, but also to reproduce a room more like the real one by arranging furniture in a virtual space. The decision to invest in Styleport was based on an evaluation of its potential for use in a wide range of fields, including logistics, when this technology is viewed as DX in space. By incorporating Styleport into the fund’s portfolio, we will support Styleport’s growth, deepen our knowledge of DX in the real estate field, and study the possibility of providing new value.
